The Ministry of Health has issued health requirements for performers of Umrah and Hajj this year (1431H) and informed the concerned authorities to circulate these prerequisites to Saudi Embassies and missions abroad, which should abide by all these requirements for issuance of visas for Umrah and Hajj performers this year.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, the Official Spokesman of Ministry of Health Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammed Marghalani pointed out that the Ministry has been gradually following developments of epidemic diseases, noting that the requirements of health this year focused on several topics including yellow fever, cerebrospinal meningitis fever, polio, and vaccination against seasonal influenza.
He said that Hajj and Umrah Performers coming from affected countries by Yellow Fever are requested to submit a valid vaccination certificate, according to the International Health Regulations. The Certificate must state that the holder is vaccinated against Yellow Fever before 10 days of the arrival to the Kingdom and no more than 10 years, adding that aircrafts, ships and other means of transportation coming from countries affected by Yellow Fever are requested to submit a valid certificate certifying the extermination of insects on-board according to the International Health Regulations.
