How was your Hajj?
A survey of British Muslim experiences in Makkah and Madinah

Are you a Muslim born, raised or living permanently in Britain? And have you travelled for Hajj from the UK?

Can you spare 20 minutes to share your experiences before, during and after the pilgrimage?

In late January 2012 the British Museum is holding a major exhibition entitled Hajj: Journey to the Heart of Islam (see www.britishmuseum.org/hajj).

To build up a detailed picture of what going for Hajj means to British Muslims, Dr Seán McLoughlin, Senior Lecturer in Islamic Studies at the University of Leeds, is running this survey.

The results will be presented as part of the exhibition and on the British Museum’s

website, while anonymised quotations from written answers may also be selected to illustrate key points. The results will also be discussed in academic and non-academic publications and with Muslim organisations.
