The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the launch of a new multiple-entry Umrah visa, providing pilgrims with greater flexibility when planning their visits to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Under the new arrangements, the Umrah visa will be valid for 365 days (one year) from the date of issuance, allowing eligible pilgrims to enter and exit the Kingdom multiple times during the visa’s validity period. However, the total cumulative stay must not exceed 90 days across all visits made using the visa.

The initiative forms part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to enhance the pilgrim experience and support the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 by facilitating travel, improving services, and providing greater flexibility for visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.

Key Features of the New Umrah Visa

• Valid for one year (365 days) from the date of issue.
• Allows multiple entries into Saudi Arabia during the visa’s validity period.
• Permits a maximum cumulative stay of 90 days across all visits.
• Any unused days from the 90-day allowance can be used during future visits within the visa validity period.
• The visa is not valid during the Hajj season, from 1 Dhul Qa’dah until 13 Dhul Hijjah.
• The visa is deactivated upon departure from the Kingdom and reactivated for future visits once the relevant requirements have been met.

Nusuk Requirements Remain in Place

The Ministry confirmed that pilgrims must obtain an Umrah permit through the Nusuk platform before travelling. In addition, each visit requires the purchase of a service package through an approved provider listed on the Nusuk platform, with the package duration not exceeding the remaining days available on the visa.

The introduction of a one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa represents a significant enhancement for pilgrims who wish to visit the Kingdom more than once during the year. The new visa offers greater flexibility for travel planning while maintaining the necessary regulatory requirements to ensure a smooth and organised pilgrimage experience.
