Saudi Arabia Announces Umrah 1448H Season Calendar and Key Entry Deadlines for Makkah

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the official operational calendar for the Umrah 1448H season (2026–2027), outlining key dates for visa issuance, pilgrim arrivals, entry into Makkah, and final departure deadlines.

According to an announcement published by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), international Umrah pilgrims will be able to begin arriving in the Kingdom from 14 Dhul Hijjah 1447H, corresponding to 31 May 2026. Entry into Makkah and the issuance of Umrah permits through the Nusuk platform will commence on 15 Dhul Hijjah 1447H, corresponding to 1 June 2026.

The Ministry confirmed that Umrah companies and overseas agents have already begun preparations for the new season, with agreements, contracting, and service arrangements taking place throughout the months leading up to the reopening of Umrah following Hajj.

Key Dates for Umrah 1448H (2026–2027)

  • 31 May 2026 (14 Dhul Hijjah 1447H) – International pilgrims may begin arriving in Saudi Arabia.
  • 1 June 2026 (15 Dhul Hijjah 1447H) – Entry into Makkah and Umrah permit issuance through Nusuk begins.
  • 9 March 2027 (1 Shawwal 1448H) – Final date for issuing Umrah visas.

  • 7 April 2027 (30 Shawwal 1448H) – Final date for Umrah pilgrims to depart the Kingdom.

Important Reminder for Pilgrims

Pilgrims intending to perform Umrah during the 1448H season should ensure that their travel arrangements, accommodation bookings, transport services, and permits are completed through approved channels and linked to the Nusuk platform where required.

The announced deadlines are particularly important for those planning Umrah during Ramadan 1448H, as all pilgrims must enter and depart the Kingdom before the specified closing dates.

CBHUK advises prospective pilgrims to remain in contact with their authorised Umrah travel provider and regularly check official Saudi announcements for any updates or additional requirements.
