HAJJ FRAUD ALERT 2019 – Don’t Lose Your Hajj!
There are reports coming in from across the UK that some pilgrims have been told their visas have been rejected or the agent has failed to obtain Hajj Visa’s for Hajj 2019.
Please check with your agent and ensure you have a confirmed Hajj Package with a confirmed Hajj Visa.
Questions to ask your Agent:
1. Are they a Hajj Munazzam (a Licensed Hajj Organiser) in the UK?
If yes:
- What is their Munazzam number?
- Ask to see their Munazzam Card
Being a Saudi Ministry of Hajj & Umrah (MoHU) Approved does not mean they automatically have a Hajj Licence, some MoHU just have an Umrah Licence.
A Hajj company must have a Munazzam Card in their name to allow them to obtain Hajj Visa.
IF a Hajj Company doesn’t know what a Hajj Munazzam is or doesn’t have a Munazzam Card then Alarms Bells should start ringing.
2. ATOL PROTECTED
All agents selling Hajj Packages MUST have a valid Air Traffic Organisers License (ATOL) which gives you Financial Protection & Peace of Mind and MUST issues you with a Valid ATOL Certificate.
To Check an ATOL license please check: https://siteapps.caa.co.uk/check-an-atol/
Having an ATOL Licence does not mean the company automatically has Hajj Visa’s or is a Hajj Munazzam.
Check! Have you been issued an ATOL Certificate? If not? Why not?
