More Than 10 Million Worshipers Have Prayed in Al-Rawda so far

Over 10 million worshipers have prayed in Al-Rawda at the Prophet’s Mosque so far in 2024, according to new statistics released by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Prophet’s Mosque. These figures highlight the sacred site’s ongoing importance to the global Muslim community.

The data reveals that a total of 5,583,885 men and 4,726,247 women have performed prayers in Al-Rawda, an area within the mosque revered as a garden from the gardens of Paradise. The waiting time for worshipers before entering Al-Rawda averaged around 20 minutes, with a daily visitor count reaching as high as 48,000.

To enhance the experience for visitors, the authority implemented awareness programs in 11 languages, ensuring that pilgrims from diverse backgrounds can fully understand and engage in the spiritual significance of the visit.

These initiatives are part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s broader commitment to improving services at the Prophet’s Mosque, aligned with the vision of the Saudi 2030. The efforts aim to facilitate smoother worship experiences and encourage visits to Al-Rawda, the Prophet’s resting place and the graves of his companions. The improvements reflect the Kingdom’s dedication to enhancing religious services and ensuring ease and accessibility for millions of worshipers from around the world.

The increasing number of visitors and ongoing service upgrades underline the Prophet’s Mosque’s status as one of Islam’s holiest sites and a key spiritual destination for Muslims globally.
